1 min readCorporate Banking Readiness Checklist
What to hold on file before you apply, so a compliance review meets a complete case rather than a set of gaps.
Banks and payment providers decide independently of any registry. Their review covers who owns and controls the company, what it does, where its money comes from, and how it expects to transact. An application that arrives incomplete is usually not refused outright — it stalls, which is worse, because the file goes cold while documents are gathered.
The strongest applications share a shape: corporate documents that are current, an ownership chain resolving to named individuals, identity and address evidence inside whatever freshness window the provider sets, and a business narrative supported by something external — a contract, an invoice, a live website, a supplier agreement.
Assemble the file before applying rather than in response to a request list. Preparing it in advance costs nothing beyond attention, and it is the single step that most reliably shortens a banking process.
