1 min readExpected Transaction Profile Template
The forecast a provider monitors you against. Estimate it honestly — the figures you give become the thresholds that trigger review.
Providers ask new corporate clients to forecast how the account will be used, then monitor real activity against that forecast. The profile is not a formality: figures that are materially wrong in either direction generate alerts, and an account behaving nothing like its stated profile can be reviewed or restricted at the least convenient moment.
Build it from the business rather than from optimism. Work out what a normal trading month looks like — not the launch month, and not the month in the funding deck. Where the business is genuinely seasonal or lumpy, say so in the narrative. A reviewer can accommodate variance that has been explained; unannounced variance is what gets escalated.
Keep the profile beside your business description and revise both together. When volumes change because the business changed, telling the provider before the pattern shifts is a routine update. Telling them afterwards is an investigation.
